The Menwith Hill area offers a huge variety of activities for the adventurous visitor.

For starters, there are lots and lots of fields, stuffed full of contented sheep. And long dreamy lanes where you can catch up on the very latest in defence and large haulage transport. After happily trudging around, you can quench your thirst in numerous traditional English pubs, boasting a wide range of healthy local beers.

But of course the biggest attraction of all is the base itself. Crammed full of radomes, supercomputers and radio transmission equipment, this is a joy for every fun-loving traveller.

You will be greeted at the front gate by one of the friendly security staff, who will be only too pleased to demonstrate some good ol' US Army hospitality. Then, after picking yourself off the road, you can take in the wonders of an impromptu exhibition of defence muscle. Ever seen a gun at close range? You will! What a treat for the children.

And at night, Menwith REALLY kicks off. With over 1,200 US intelligence staff, the facility gets down after eight for a rollicking, foot-stompin' time with the local farmers and visitors.

But if all that is just too exhausting, then why not relax on one of our exciting and unique BALLOON tours over the base. We will take you to 1,000 feet, from where you can get a breathtaking view of the most secret place on earth.

And we'll even provide parabolic microphones and binoculars so you have a REALLY intimate view of things.
